Antique Art Nouveau c1895 Silver Gilt Lady Slider Locket Charm or Pendant

An antique Victorian Art Nouveau c1895 Austro-Hungarian silver gilt four leaf clover shaped charm or pendant, decorated with a lady, which slides open to reveal a locket inside. The ladies face is in a rose colour gilt giving her a lovely pink complexion whilst the rest is gilded in yellow. A superb, and rare, piece with wonderful detailing and fantastic quality.

It measures 24mm (15/16ths of an inch) by 21mm (13/16ths of an inch) and weighs 4.4 grammes. Marked on the tiny stalk of the clover with the Austro-Hungarian lion head mark for 750 silver which dates from 1886-1922. The locket has the original rim and a plastic “glass” (slightly yellowed). Currently it has a pale blue silk inside but this could be easily changed for a photograph. The charm stays closed securely and the whole piece is in exceptional condition. Such a rare survivor.
