Large Antique Early Victorian Silver Gilt & Carved Faceted Amethyst Charm

A large antique early Victorian c1850 (possibly earlier) carved faceted amethyst charm with a silver gilt suspension bale. 

The amethyst measures 18mm (6/8ths of an inch) by 15mm (5/8ths of an inch) and 9mm (3/8ths of an inch) in depth, excluding the suspension bale. It weighs 4 grammes. The bale is unmarked but tests as low grade silver. There is a small piece missing from the edge of the silver gilt suspension bale but otherwise it is all in excellent condition. This is the largest from a collection of seven. I have another of the larger ones listed but if anyone is interested in any of the smaller pieces at £50-£65 each please drop me a line.
