An antique Edwardian English hollow 9ct gold charm of a car with rotating wheels. A wonderfully detailed piece with a Registered Design Number 387972 which dates to 1902.
It measures 19mm (6/8ths of an inch) by 13mm (1/2 an inch) and weighs 2 grammes. Marked 9CT on the back number plate. There is a small hole next to the steering wheel which looks like a manufacturing fault but otherwise it is in very good condition. The charm has a yellow gold wash but this has worn on some of the raised edges and shows rose gold underneath.
