Large Antique Victorian Silver Gilt Working Compass Charm or Fob HM 1901

A large antique Victorian silver gilt shield fob charm set with a working compass, such a nice quality piece. These are worn today to ensure you never lose your way in life, a rather lovely sentiment. 

It measures 30mm (1 inch 3/16ths) by 22mm (7/8ths of an inch), including the suspension bale, and weighs 4.6 grammes. Fully hallmarked for Chester 1901 and in full working order … as long as it is laid perfectly flat. There is some wear to the gilding and some light scratching to the glass but overall it is in super condition.
