Antique WWI Silver & Wooden Fumsup Touch Wood Charm with Pink Paste Eyes

An antique c1914 WWI silver Fumsup charm with a wooden head, articulated arms and pink paste birthstone eyes. Not only can he give the “Fumsup” but he can also “Touch Wood”. A very lucky charm.

It measures 31mm (1 inch 1/4) by 10mm (3/8ths of an inch) and weighs 1.6 grammes. The back is marked with the registration number 636612 which dates to around 1914 and the charm tests as sterling silver. The wooden head has facial features, a four leaf clover on the forehead, pink paste eyes (one is possibly a later replacement) and “Touch Wood” embossed on the back. There is a little wear to the wood around the suspension bale but otherwise it is all in lovely condition just slightly tarnished.
