Antique Victorian c1890 Carved Whitby Jet Book Charm with Abbey Pictured

An antique Victorian c1890 carved Whitby Jet charm, or fob pendant, in the shape of a book and engraved with a picture of Whitby Abbey. It has a black painted brass suspension bale and matching split ring.

It measures 22mm (7/8ths of an inch) by 15mm (5/8ths of an inch), excluding the suspension bale, and weighs 2.2 grammes. It is in excellent condition just lots of wear to the black paint on the split ring.
