A vintage 1960's English silver charm of the Russian Sputnik 2 that opens to reveal Laika the Dog inside who was one of the first animals into space. Nice original piece.
It measures 19mm (6/8ths of an inch) by 15mm (5/8ths of an inch) and weighs 4.7 grammes. Unmarked but tested as sterling silver with a secure closure. The word "SPUTNIK" is slightly worn on the front but otherwise the charm is in very good condition just slightly tarnished.
