A large, and very heavy, vintage 1960's English solid 9ct gold charm of a pineapple by Hans Georg Mautner. The leaves are in yellow gold and the fruit part is in rose gold. There is a very good article about this jeweller in “Modern British Jewellery Designers 1960-1980” by Mary Ann Wingfield.
It measures 30mm (1 inch 3/16ths) by 13mm (1/2 an inch) and weighs a whopping 11.2 grammes. Fully hallmarked for London 1963 maker HGM and in very good condition.
