Large Vintage 1930's 14k 14ct Gold & Blue Enamel Rotating Globe Charm “The Whole World Turns Round The Love”

A superb large vintage 1930's 14ct gold rotating charm of a globe decorated with turquoise blue enamel. There is a band around the earth which says “The Whole World Turns Round The Love”. This piece is unusual for 2 reasons. The first is that the writing is in English, more often it is in German. Secondly, the globe has a base. A fabulous piece.

It measures 20mm (13/16ths of an inch) by 15mm (5/8ths of an inch) and weighs 2.5 grammes. There are lots of markings on the bale which I haven’t been able to place but the charm has tested as 14ct gold. There are two areas of damage to the turquoise enamel, both in the top section, but otherwise it is in lovely condition.
