Large Antique Edwardian Solid 9ct Gold Charm of the Sanctuary Knocker in Stratford Upon Avon HM 1910
A large antique Edwardian solid 9ct gold charm of the Sanctuary Knocker which is on the church door in Stratford Upon Avon. The ring in the mouth moves so you can knock for entry. A wonderfully unusual piece.
It measures 25mm (1 inch) by 18mm (6/8ths of an inch) and weighs 3.9 grammes. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1910 along with the registration number 479491 which dates to 1906. This piece has a yellow gold wash which has worn in places revealing the rose gold underneath. Overall it is in very good condition.
