Antique Victorian Canadian Silver & Enamel Puffy Heart Charm Bangle c1900
An antique Victorian Canadian sterling silver bangle with hanging hoops. Attached are two Victorian 5 cent coins and 10 sterling silver puffy heart charms, some enamelled. The bracelet and the hearts all have the same maker's mark (an L under a beaver) for George H Lees from Hamilton in Canada. A superb piece that is rare to have survived complete.
The bangle measures 2.5 inches in diameter and the hearts measure 15mm (5/8ths of an inch) by 15mm (5/8ths of an inch) excluding the suspension bales. The total weight is 31 grammes. All of the pieces, excluding the coins, are marked STERLING. The coins are dated 1896 and 1899. Five of the hearts are just sterling and are in super condition, they include "The Maple Leaf For Ever" and a "Good Luck" horseshoe with four leaf clover. The other five have enamelled decoration with three of them, both maple leaves and one blue Canada, having some damage. There are no dents just quite a lot of tarnish. A wonderful piece.
